This soap was designed for those with very sensitive skin, babies. This soap has no colorants or fragrance... But, where does the bright yellow/orange color come from? Carrots! I use Organic Carrot Puree that is made with organic carrots and water. This soap is vegan, contains no palm oil, no phthalate or paraben.
A true Bastille soap is made with 70% Olive Oil and 30% of another oil or butter. The main difference between my Castile Soap and Bastille soap is the oil percentage. My Castile soap is 100% Olive Oil. My Bastille soap is 70% Olive Oil and 30% Coconut Oil. I also use Organic Carrot Puree and Buttermilk.
Benefits of carrots. Carrots are known for their high content of beta-carotene and antioxidants. It is ideal for those with sensitive skin, such as babies. Carrots are also a natural colorant and it gives soap a very beautiful yellow/orange color.
Buttermilk is packed with lactic acid that helps exfoliate, cleanse, and smooth the skin. Buttermilk has a creamy lather and the rich milk proteins in buttermilk leave skin feeling silky smooth.
It is important to know that this soap should be placed in a soap dish after use. Do not leave this soap in water because this soap can become soggy (oily) and wither away very fast. After use, leave your soap in a cool and dry place. The more you care for your soap, the longer it will last.

I bought this soap to use on my dogs. Gentle enough on their skin.
