Cucumber & Mint Handmade Soap
Cucumber & Mint Handmade Soap
I love cucumber and mint soap and I make this soap with real cucumbers. The process is time consuming, but worth it. I first peel the cucumbers and place the cucumber skin in the oven until the skin is dried. Once dried, I then grind the cucumber skin until I get a powder. I set it aside and grind the cucumber to get all the juice out. I use the cucumber juice as my water content that I then mix with the lye and oils.
Why cucumber? Because cucumbers are hydrating and contain antioxidants, nutrients, and minerals. Cucumbers also contain vitamins such as A, B, and C that promote healthy skin. The hyaluronic acid found in cucumbers work to help hydrate the skin and improve its appearance and glow. Mint is refreshing and a good cleanser and toner. Together, these ingredients make a refreshing bar of soap.
